GEZE UK has announced it will sponsor the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) Awards Dinner for the fifth year in succession.
The event, which celebrates the best of Scottish architecture, takes place at The Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh on 30 May.
A total of 82 entries have been whittled down to 19 shortlisted projects including Perth Theatre, Glasgow tearoom Mackintosh at the Willow, Hendrick’s Gin Palace in Girvan, and The Black House on the Isle of Skye.
Andy Howland, GEZE UK sales and marketing director said, “It is always an honour to be part of the RIAS Awards which presents an eclectic range of projects within a variety of landscapes and created to accommodate very different requirements. The categories will no doubt be hotly contested and we are delighted to again be sponsoring the awards dinner where we shall see which of the projects claim victory.”
Robin Webster OBE, president of the RIAS added, “This year’s judges were struck by the continuing high standard of submissions and found shortlisting very difficult indeed. This is an impressive list of buildings that all show the ambitious level of excellence that architects and their clients can achieve, and I hope that communities, government and local authorities, along with everyone else who needs to procure buildings will look at these examples and ensure that their ambitions match them. Our awards celebrate the very best that is being built in Scotland.”
