St Johnstone FC legend opens new flat named in his honour

Roddy Grant

ST Johnstone football legend Roddy Grant has teamed up with Urban Union to launch a new show flat named in his honour.

Grant played for the Perth club between 1989 and 1992 and then again from 1995 to 2000. The Grant joins a selected team of homes at regeneration specialist Urban Union’s Muirton Living development, all of which been named after St Johnstone’s players.

The Grant home features an open plan living dining room with adjoining kitchen. The property also boats a double bedroom with built-in wardrobe and a separate bathroom just off the hallway.

Roddy Grant said, “It’s great to have been invited along to the development for the big unveiling of The Grant. It’s exciting to be opening a show flat that is also my namesake. Not many people can say they have had a flat named after them. The Grant is a lovely home that I’m proud to put my name to.”

Kenny Downs, finance director at Urban Union added, “All of the homes at the development have been named after St Johnstone’s players as a tribute to the legacy they have brought to the area of Muirton, so it’s fitting to have Roddy here to open up The Grant today. The Grant is a fantastic example of the high standard of quality homes on offer at the development.”

Muirton Living is situated close to Perth’s town centre and features a variety of one to four-bedroom homes.
