RSK makes senior appointment to boost rail sector growth

Adrian Calder

ADRIAN Calder has been appointed business development director for the rail sector at RSK Group.

The environmental, engineering and technical services business said rail is a growing sector for the firm. Adrian’s role will include identifying new opportunities and managing the tender process from early contractor involvement through to contract award.

RSK said Adrian has a “wealth of experience” of business development in the construction/infrastructure sectors, having worked in similar roles for several construction organisations, most recently Aspin Group and before that Taziker Industrial.

Adrian said, “Joining RSK Group was an easy decision, as their reputation is outstanding within the markets they operate. The rail sector presents a huge opportunity to continue the excellent growth pattern that RSK Group has seen over the past few years, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Even with over 2700 people and turnover in excess of £200 million, remaining agile and a specialist to our clients is key. Having a family of synergistic companies under the same privately-owned group, allows us to operate in this way.”

George Tuckwell, divisional director responsible for RSK Group’s geoscience & engineering businesses added, “Rail is an increasingly important sector for RSK Group and its companies and the appointment (of) Adrian, with his vast experience of the sector, will not only help us generate rail business but also help us understand and structure our proposition to provide rail clients with the service they demand.”
