ROBERTSON has announced the appointment of Gordon Milne as managing director of its Eastern construction business.
Gordon will lead the contractor’s operations in the Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City and Angus region, where he will be tasked with driving strategic growth as well as overseeing projects including several for the University of Aberdeen.
Gordon brings more than 38 years’ industry experience to the role. He most recently served as operations manager at Morrison Construction and holds a degree in construction management from Robert Gordon University.
Derek Shewan, chief executive at Robertson said, “Gordon brings a raft of skills and experience that will provide a major boost for the Eastern team as we continue to grow the business.
“This experience and knowledge of the construction sector, combined with Gordon’s extensive understanding of the local area, makes him the ideal candidate to strengthen and extend Robertson’s capabilities across the region.”
Gordon’s appointment marks a return to the very same office in which he started his career as trainee quantity surveyor at Doric Construction, which went on to be acquired by Robertson.
