Entries sought for Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards

APPLICATIONS have opened for this year’s Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.

North and South Lanarkshire Councils are inviting companies to submit applications for the ten categories of award, including Best Family Business, Apprentice of the Year and Community Impact Award.

Councillor Allan Graham, convener of the enterprise and growth committee at North Lanarkshire Council said, “Lanarkshire has a strong local economy, which has seen an increase in employment in the last year and a regular increase in the number of businesses locating here. Our annual awards are an outstanding way to celebrate the achievements of local businesses, highlighting their successes and innovations. They are also an opportunity for businesses themselves to review their progress, recognise the work of their staff and raise their profile. We would like to hear from companies who can tell us what makes them different, how they have developed and grown or how they deliver excellent customer service.”

Councillor John Anderson, chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s community and enterprise resources committee added, “The annual awards have become a real highlight for Lanarkshire and showcase the fantastic range of businesses we have on our doorstep. I hope as many companies as possible take up the opportunity to enter and I look forward to finding out more about what makes them unique and deserving of an award.”

The deadline for entries is Friday 1 March.
