CALA delivers safety workshop to Glasgow pupils

CALA Homes recently delivered a health and safety presentation to primary children from Jordanhill School in Glasgow after construction work started at the adjacent Jordanhill Park development.

The workshop was delivered in partnership with demolition experts Dem-Master and included information on safety around the site as well as demolition techniques and protective equipment.

CALA Homes West is to invest £100 million in constructing Jordanhill Park. Project director David Sutherland said, “Now that work has commenced on Jordanhill Park, we felt it was really important to spend some time with the children at Jordanhill School to show them how to look after themselves near the construction site. The children showed a real interest in what we had to say so hopefully the information will keep them safe as we continue our work between now and 2023.”

Richard Buchan, Jordanhill School headteacher of primary added, “We were delighted to accept CALA Homes’ kind invitation to speak to our pupils about the building works near their school. This was a great learning opportunity for the children and I would like to thank CALA Homes and Dem-Master for taking the time to visit us.”
