Racing cert: runners surpass charity fundraising target

SIXTEEN Robertson employees and subcontractors currently working on the new Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park project have taken part in a charity fun run.

The team – dressed in costumes including the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) mascots Ivor and Honor Goodsite, The Hulk, Superman and Jack Sparrow – ran a section of Hamilton Park Racecourse in aid of The Lighthouse Club. The £2,500 fundraising target has already been exceeded.

Gemma Gourlay, director of social sustainability for Robertson said, “Well done to everyone from Team Robertson who was involved in the organisation of the fun run and raising such a fantastic amount for The Lighthouse Club. We all have a responsibility to protect the safety and wellbeing of all the construction community, so it’s great to be able to support the charity in all the important work it carries out.”

A number of businesses directly linked to the project supported the runners including: Dalriada Scaffolding Ltd, Hamilton Bricklaying Services Ltd, Hescott Engineering, MK Timber Systems Ltd, Robertson Civil Engineering, Marshall Brown, NWH Group, DMH Electrical O’Neill and Brennan Fire Safety Services.
