A model project: developer unveils latest Glasgow waterfront plans

THE developer behind a new mixed-use waterfront project in Glasgow has unveiled the latest designs and a 3D model of the scheme.

Peel Lifestyle Outlets is delivering a new leisure destination on the banks of the River Clyde. Glasgow Harbour Lifestyle Outlet will feature extensive shopping, food and drink, and entertainment space and is expected to create thousands of new jobs.

Adrian Wright, leasing director at Peel Lifestyle Outlets said, “The latest designs alongside the 3D model really brings to life the luxury leisure and retail experience we are aiming to create for the people of Glasgow. It will offer an excellent mix of leisure and entertainment underpinned by an exciting retail offering, rejuvenating the waterfront and creating a real destination of choice for the city and the many tourist visitors it receives.”

The development will deliver retail stores, restaurants and cafes, a waterfront promenade, multiplex cinema, gym, family leisure facilities, public squares, and a major event space.

Savills and Johnstone Property were appointed as joint leasing agents following the submission of an Approval of Matters Specified in Condition planning application for the development. Planning Permission in Principal was granted in 2008 to rejuvenate the 74-acre site, which is located within the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration Programme.
