M&E works complete at Edinburgh aparthotel project

ARC-Tech (Scotland) has announced the completion of a turnkey M&E solution for the refurbishment and fit-out of Edinburgh’s Kintore House.

Led by main contractor GHI Contracts, the former extended townhouse has been upgraded to create 82 serviced apartments. The development is now known as Mode Hotel and is described as offering a luxury aparthotel experience in the city centre.

Services carried out by Arc-Tech included air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, IT and CCTV/security.

John Gallacher, managing director of Arc-Tech said, “Kintore House was an extensive undertaking by our site team. Refurbishment contracts can always present challenges, however, we worked very closely with GHI to ensure that the standard of installation was of the highest standard. We believe we have managed to successfully meet our client’s expectations to ensure a comfortable living environment for the guests of Mode Hotel fulfilling our obligations in delivering the contract on time and on budget.”

Gordon Cairns, managing director of GHI added, “Arc-Tech provided a proactive service in delivering the building services package on a challenging project that required continuous co-ordination and a flexible management approach to achieve a successful outcome.”
