Flat entrance doorsets “ahead of their time”

JANEX has announced the launch of a new Safer Homes range of fire-approved timber entrance doorsets,  both FD30S and FD60S,  for the UK market, described as suitable for low and high-rise apartment buildings. In an exclusive partnership for Scotland, the firm has introduced the Gerda apartment and flat entrance doorset range to the social housing sector.

“These products have been extensively tested for fire and security regulations, including to both sides for double glazed, and unglazed doorsets, fanlights and sidelights,” said JANEX MD Sandra McNiven. Sandra previously headed up Secured by Design in Scotland, the Police Security Initiative for window and door products, and these doorsets are approved Secured by Design.

“Our new products offer residents and landlords a secure, safe and well insulated home,” Sandra added. “We are selling both weather facing and internal flat entrance doors, beautifully factory finished, with matching door furniture including door knocker, spyhole, door closer, numerals and door chains or limiters.

“And we know these doorsets – which have been described as ahead of their time – will appeal to social housing property managers as well as those building or refurbishing high and low-rise apartment blocks.”
