THIRD generation family-owned construction company, Fleming Buildings, has expanded its team with the recruitment of Euan McDermott to oversee its growth strategy.
Euan will focus on strengthening and extending the Lenzie-based firm’s reach across a number of sectors. The company carries out new build and refurbishment work for the public sector in areas such as education, healthcare, community and conservation.
The 55-year-old business has its own in-house timber frame engineering facility. Last year it constructed what is believed to be the biggest timber frame structure ever built in Scotland for the new Royal Edinburgh Hospital. Current projects also involve steel frame structures.
Euan said, “Fleming Buildings has an excellent reputation, its longevity testament to the company’s ability to deliver and adapt to changing demands. I am delighted to be contributing towards driving the business forward across Scotland.”
Director Ronnie Burrows added, “This is an exciting time for the company and we are confident that Euan’s energy and knowledge of the Scottish construction sector, combined with fresh thinking, will create new commercial opportunities.”
