MUIR Homes has announced the firm is expanding its presence in Scotland’s central belt with the acquisition of a new development site at Garnqueen Farm, near Glenboig in North Lanarkshire.
The 16-acre site already has planning permission for 158 two, three and four-bedroom homes. Inverkeithing-based Muir Homes said it intends to start work this month on the development, which will be known as Queen’s Gait.
Ash Sheikh, sales and marketing director at Muir Homes said, “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of this site which is in a fantastic location, just ten miles from Glasgow city centre and a few minutes’ drive from the M73, M8 and M80 motorways.
“Gartcosh Railway Station is also within easy reach. Queen’s Gait will help address the shortage of high-quality modern family homes in the area, and we expect demand to be high. I am looking forward to work getting started in the coming weeks, and to launching the first homes for sale later in the autumn.”
