ENGIE praises “fantastic” turnout at Bellshill ‘Meet the Buyer’ event

NEARLY 100 Scottish contractors and suppliers attended a recent ‘Meet the Buyer’ event in Bellshill, with organisers praising the “fantastic” turnout.

The event, hosted by energy and services company ENGIE with the aim of extending its local supply chain, saw 96 contractors and suppliers attend. Trades represented at the event included joinery, plumbing, brickwork, electrical, roofing, doors and windows, and flooring.

ENGIE said its construction and regeneration offering proved popular with the tradespeople in attendance, calling the event a “big success”.

The firm has committed to another consultation session for the professional services sector on the back of the event’s success.

Steve Nugent, business development manager for ENGIE commented, “Everything we do as a business is aimed at improving lives and putting back into the local community. These events offer the perfect platform to meet local businesses and specialists, while sharing information about the kind of projects we are currently working on.

The turnout in Bellshill was fantastic and this has resulted in an improved construction trade supplier list. We are now looking to hold a similar event for professional services, where we will be seeking a brad number of consultants to support us as we continue to expand our presence in Scotland.
