PAUL Brewer has been appointed the new chair of the board at hub South East Scotland, succeeding Jo Elliot who will leave his role at the end of the month.
Paul recently retired from his position as corporate finance partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He studied law at Edinburgh University before becoming a chartered accountant. As a PwC partner and corporate finance adviser, he has focused on infrastructure, energy and government.
Paul McGirk, chief executive of hub South East said, “I am delighted to be welcoming Paul to the board. Hub South East is optimistic about the future, having recently won the accolade of ‘Sponsor/Developer of the Year’ at the prestigious international Partnerships Awards and having successfully delivered more than £260 million community infrastructure projects, with a similar amount in construction or development.
“Relationships with clients are strong and Paul’s experience with both the public and private sector will serve us well as we continue to ensure the hub programme is providing added value and innovative solutions for our public sector partners. Paul is focused on making partnerships work well and this aligns with our vision in hub South East to be our clients’ development partner of choice.
