M&E specialist lands Carluke school contract

ARC-Tech (Scotland) has landed a specialist mechanical contract with South Lanarkshire Council for the new Underbank Primary School in Carluke.

The Glasgow-based M&E services contractor revealed that the contract, which starts in June, will cover the supply, delivery and erection, testing and setting to work heating service, including an underfloor heating system. The works will also involve water services, mechanical ventilation and sprinklers.

The new school is being delivered as part of the council’s school modernisation programme, with pupils due to  move in later this year.

Arc-Tech managing director John Gallacher said, “Arc-Tech is delighted to be announced as the mechanical services contractor for this project which is our first with South Lanarkshire Council. Our experience in the education sector is growing rapidly – Underbank Primary School is the fourth project that we are currently working on and we hope this trend continues as we move forward as the sector represents a key growth opportunity for our company.”

Arc-Tech said they expect to complete the works by September.
