LOVELL is celebrating after a double triumph at the International Safety Awards.

The British Safety Council presented an International Safety Award with merit to Lovell’s 34-home Kenilworth Road development in East Kilbride, built on behalf of Clyde Valley Housing Association. The firm’s development of 16 new homes for North Lanarkshire Council at Afton Road in Kildrum, Cumbernauld, was also presented with a merit award.

The International Safety Awards, which have been running for 60 years, recognise organisations from around the world that have demonstrated commitment to preventing injuries and ill health.

Stephen Profili, managing director of Lovell in Scotland said, “At Lovell, ensuring the safety of our teams and the public is our top priority. These awards presented to our Kenilworth Road and Afton Road developments by the British Safety Council are testament to this and we congratulate both teams on their well-deserved successes.

“Lovell in Scotland has received a number of International Safety Awards in previous years so we are pleased to have repeated this achievement in 2018. We look forward to continuing these high standards in years to come.”

Mike Robinson, chief executive of the British Safety Council added, “The British Safety Council commends Lovell on its achievement. The awards are in recognition of its commitment and efforts to keep its employees and workplaces free of injury and ill health.

“By celebrating and sharing the achievements of the winners of the International Safety Awards, we encourage businesses all over the world to follow their lead and place employees’ health and safety at the heart of their business.”
