Big-hearted City Building staff raise almost £30,000 for charity

GLASGOW-based City Building has donated almost £30,000 to 18 organisations following a number of fundraising events in the past year.

Employees at the construction firm and its manufacturing arm RSBi organised a range of events which raised over £8,000 for 13 worthy causes including Cancer Research, Macmillan Cancer Care Scotland and Scottish SPCA. The company’s charity partners for 2017, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland and Cash For Kids, benefited from corporate donations of £10,000 and £8,000 respectively following fundraising activities. A further £3,310 in corporate donations was provided to local charities and organisations such as Hampden Primary School, the Kiltwalk and the Les Hoey Dream Maker Foundation.

Dr Graham Paterson, chief executive at City Building said, “It is an honour to know that what we do here at City Building and RSBi benefits not only our staff and local community, but groups and individuals throughout Scotland. I am very proud of all our staff whose generosity of time and spirit has meant we have once again been able to give back to the local community and maintain inclusion as a driving force within this organisation. I can’t wait to see what amazing fundraisers they come up with in 2018.”
