Plans unveiled for “pioneering” Glasgow office building

ARCHITECTURAL practice 3DReid has submitted plans for a “pioneering” office building in Glasgow’s Merchant City area.

The firm’s proposals for Inovo2, a building to complement Scottish Enterprise’s Inovo1 and the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre, are designed to attract new business to the city’s designated Innovation District.

Working with client Scottish Enterprise, 3DReid said its plan is for a “forward-looking building that reflects modern working behaviour”. The proposed building will offer a mix of space, able to accommodate both larger tenants who might need one or more floors and SMEs looking for “smart, self-contained suites”.

The plans also include a conference and events space with roof terrace.

3DReid said the planned building is on target to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and an ‘A’ EPC rating, and be capable of achieving a Wired Platinum score.
