SELECT has announced the launch of a new series of technical videos for the electrotechnical trade in Scotland.
Building on the organisation’s Toolbox Talks initiative, the new videos, which can be viewed on devices such as phones, tablets and laptops, are described as being of “immediate value” to electrical practitioners.
The technical update film, which have been created by SELECT’s own technical team, begins with a 20-minute presentation on surge protection and its connection to current standards. The production uses a mix of live video, text and diagrams to explain both the dangers and the measures that can be taken to protect a variety of installations.
Dave Forrester, head of technical services at SELECT said, “In our Toolbox Talks series, which toured Scotland to great acclaim again this year, we discussed issues of immediate importance to the electrical profession.
“But while the Talks reach audiences of hundreds of interested people, the new video series will allow us to reach out to a far bigger number of professionals at times and places which suit them.”
