MORRISON Construction has been named Contractor of the Year at the inaugural Education Buildings Scotland Awards.

The awards were held on the first night of the two-day Education Buildings Scotland Exhibition and Conference, which aimed to bring together education built environment and policy professionals.

Several Morrison Construction projects also won at the awards including West Calder High School with the Inspiring Learning Spaces Award and Tarbolton Community Campus for Innovation in Delivering a Sustainable Education Facility.

Ian Jubb, Morrison Construction divisional managing director said, ‘‘To be the first to win the Contractor of the Year Award at Education Buildings Scotland Awards is an achievement to be proud of. ‘We would not have won this award if not for our talented pre-construction and delivery teams whose dedication makes building these amazing projects possible.

‘‘Our people work very hard for our clients to deliver facilities of the highest standard, which benefit the communities we work in for many years to come.’’
