KIRKWOOD Homes has announced work has started on a new development in Dundee. 45 luxury two bedroom apartments are set to be created at the DD1 Hawkhill site, close to Dundee city centre.
The housebuilder said growth into this area is part of the company’s long-term expansion plans as it looks to extend its offering beyond predominantly the north east of Scotland.
Kirkwood has also submitted plans to build 18 four and five bedroom homes in the village of Liff, located just outside Dundee. The added that it also expects to resubmit its proposals for its Balgillo Heights development in Broughty Ferry early next year.
Colin Crombie, managing director of Kirkwood Homes said, “Starting work on our DD1 Hawkhill development marks the beginning of our return to the area, an exciting time for us all. This development is our first in the city and we are delighted to be bringing our luxury apartments with the high standard of specification and quality of finish that we have become renowned for to Dundee.
“This is a significant step forward in our growth plans. We have already progressed and expanded into Inverness and the Highlands area and now, with work beginning in Dundee, our homes are being offered across Scotland.”
