Glasgow’s Pacific Quay site plans to be unveiled

DRUM Property Group is to unveil a new vision for Glasgow’s famous Pacific Quay.

The firm has been appointed by Scottish Enterprise to take forward the next redevelopment phase at Pacific Drive. A public exhibition will be held as part of the pre-planning application consultation process, which will highlight plans for new homes, offices, restaurants, bars and a micro-distillery.

Graeme Bone, group managing director of Drum said, “Pacific Quay is now Scotland’s most important location for broadcasting, media, digital and the creative industries. This project represents a rare and exciting opportunity to create an outstanding development at a key strategic site for Glasgow, and one of Scotland’s most promising locations.

“Our ambition is to create a vibrant urban quarter that will be occupied 24 hours a day, bringing life to what is currently an under used area.”

Pacific Quay is near the SSE Hydro and Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and is home to BBC Scotland and STV headquarters.

The public exhibition will take place at The Hub, Pacific Quay, on Thursday June 22.
