A new “customised” SQA course is set to be introduced in electrical safety in Scotland.
The course is being launched by SELECT, the campaigning trade body for the electrotechnical industry in Scotland, and is currently in development. SELECT said it is likely to be launched as a pilot in the third quarter of this year ahead of full introduction. It will be aimed primarily at contractors, as well as managers and personnel who have a responsibility for ensuring safe operations.
Dave Forrester, head of technical services at SELECT said, “Those involved in safety management want to stay in front of regulation and technical developments.
“This new course will be part of our ongoing development programme for courses which is aimed at continually improving our training offering by looking at demand and responding proactively to what is new in the industry.”
