Scottish preservation company, Richardson and Starling, was recently awarded a Contractor of the Year award.
The firm, which is part of Scottish construction sub-contractor, the Veitchi Group, picked up the gong in the Damp and Timber category at the Property Care Association’s (PCA) awards dinner in Cambridge.
Richardson and Starling came out on top after all 410 PCA member companies had been audited. The companies were assessed on factors including property surveys, site competence, quality of work, health and safety management, complaint handling and office administration.
Managing director, Graham Duncan, said, “Collecting this award is testament to the hard work, effort and dedication of all the staff at Richardson and Starling.”
He added, “We’re delighted to be recognised for our professionalism and the very high standards we set ourselves.”
Faye Harmey, of the comapany’s Glasgow office, also collected an award for CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments) Student of the Year.
The Veitchi Group, which will celebrate its centenary next March, recently moved to the banks of the Clyde from Bouverie Street in Rutherglen, where it was located for over 50 years.
