Due to the continued growth of new business opportunities in Scotland, Alumasc Facades have welcomed Gerry McGhee to the role of Area Sales Manager for New Build.
Gerry has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, having started his career as a draftsman, moving up through architectural and specification roles. For the last 13 years, he has worked in the EWI market and is confident his background gives him the perfect foundation on which to build new relationships for Alumasc.
He said, “Everyone knows that Alumasc is enjoying continued success in the housing refurb market, but we are also experiencing ongoing growth in the housebuilding, health, and education sectors. I believe that my combined architectural, specification and sales skillset, is perfectly placed to benefit Alumasc clients across all sectors.”
Gerry will be focusing largely on the increased specification of the new Alumasc Ventilated System (AVS) system to the new build timber frame sector. AVS offers an alternative approach to traditional build, particularly for new build timber framed housing. It provides an engineered, stylish facade solution, with the option of utilising modern off-site construction techniques. The system is designed to provide a fully ventilated cavity, which keeps the timber substrate moisture-free, and is compatible with both render and brick slip finishes.
Commercial Director for Alumasc Facades, Lorraine Dunsire, said, “The introduction of Gerry into our Team in Scotland is indicative of the strong position currently being experienced by Alumasc in the facades sector and of our commitment to the ongoing provision of the highest quality products and customer service in the industry.”
