Corri Wilson MP visited Mactaggart & Mickel Homes’ Greenan Views recently to meet the company’s award-winning site manager, Stuart Gillespie.
Ms Wilson, MP for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock visited the development in Doonfoot, South Ayrshire after hearing of Stuart’s success at the NHBC Pride in the Job Supreme Awards where he was named the number two ranking site manager in the UK. He also received the Regional Award for Scotland in the Medium Housebuilder category in October.
Ms Wilson commented, “I’ve been delighted to have the opportunity to see round the site here at Greenan Views. It is clear Stuart and his team have put in a lot of hard work to provide new homes for such a wide range of people.
“Developments like this are crucial if we are to attract new people and businesses to the area, and to provide affordable homes for our young people and their families.”
Stuart, who has accumulated 26 awards in a career spanning over 20 years, said, “It’s great to be recognised for your hard work but everyone in the industry knows that you can’t have a successful development without the support and commitment of a good team like I have at Greenan Views.
“It was a real honour to welcome Corri Wilson MP to the site today and let her see first-hand the work currently being carried out to provide quality homes in the area.”
