A firm of building surveyors, project managers and cost consultants is enjoying the “perfect start” to 2016 after landing a major contract with East Lothian Council.

The deal generated by its Edinburgh office will see Watts Group Limited carry out condition surveys and disability audits on over 200 council-run properties.

Andrew Murray, the director in charge of Watts Edinburgh, said, “The East Lothian Council success is the perfect start to 2016. We are particularly pleased to have succeeded in the very demanding public procurement contract sector. ‘’

Watts’ growth strategy in Scotland has been bolstered by two new appointments to the team in Edinburgh. Senior building surveyor Gordon Hamilton has moved from Aberdeen, while chartered building surveyor, Michael Wright, moves back to Scotland after a stint in London.

Mr Murray added, “We have a clear vision and strategy for the future and the appointments of both Gordon and Michael will help us drive forward the brand and concentrate on future business development.”

Watts Group Limited has offices in eight UK cities in the UK. The was involved in preparing Hampden Stadium as a venue for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.
