Global firms win University of Glasgow research hub contract

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff and HOK Architects have secured a contract with the University of Glasgow for a £40 million Research Hub facility.

The facility, which will be developed on the University’s Gilmorehill Campus, will be the second part of what has been described by the University as an “inspirational and world-leading masterplan” that will greatly benefit both students and staff.

The contract is being led by WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s John Cox and Graeme Bruce, with HOK Architects acting as lead consultant.

John Cox, senior technical director for building structures, said, “Partnering with HOK allowed us to bring the most recent innovative expertise in world class research facilities to the project.

“This is a significant win for us as it strengthens our ongoing relationship with the University of Glasgow as well as raising our engineering skills profile in the education sector across Scotland and the UK as a whole.”
