DEANS Engineering has added grey, foiled PVC-U windows to complete a modern renovation of a disused bakery building in Glasgow.

The civil engineering and ground works specialists has refurbished the 60-year- old bakery, which had been standing empty since 2012, for their new Glasgow headquarters.

42 fixed and tilt and turn windows and two sets of fire exit doors have been fabricated and installed by commercial fabricators PWS, part of the Perfect Glazing Group, using the REHAU TOTAL70 window system.

Deans Engineering specified windows in REHAU PVC-U to replace the grey aluminium frames previously in place, choosing PVC-U because of the improved thermal efficiency, competitive pricing and stylish aesthetics.

REHAU’s TOTAL70 window system can be used to fabricate windows with a U-Value of less than 1.0W/m2K and are available in a wide range of foiled colours suitable for the commercial sector.

PWS were hired by Deans Engineering on the basis of recommendation and the company’s growing reputation in the commercial sector in Scotland. The Glasgow-based company manufactures all of its own frames with a toughened glass plant on-site producing toughened glass to certified British Standards.
