Stirling to host event on energy efficiency in old buildings

The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) has announced their annual Old Building Energy Efficiency Research Seminar will be held in Scotland this year, with support from Historic Scotland and the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA).

The event will be held at The Albert Halls in Stirling on November 3 and will bring together leading experts from Scotland and beyond.

Each speaker will present their recent research projects and provide their results, findings and conclusions. There will also be an exhibition of retrofit products and systems the Society believes are appropriate for use on traditional buildings.

The Society describes the event as a must for anyone involved in traditional building retrofit or energy efficiency research, as well as any building professional, owner or contractor who wants to gain up-to-date research findings,
thinking, products and information in order to upgrade and retrofit a traditional building sympathetically and appropriately.
