ISG bags new Edinburgh scheme

ISG has been awarded a multi-million pound scheme at the popular Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park in Edinburgh, which houses over 70 big brand stores.

The contractor has has started the project to create over 10,000 sq ft of additional space at an existing retail unit. ISG will install a new mezzanine level at the former Toys ‘R Us outlet, creating retail, storage and office space. The building’s mechanical and electrical infrastructure will be upgraded as part of the project, with ISG also installing three new staircases to access the mezzanine floor and upgrading cladding elements on the unit’s elevations and roof to improve thermal performance.

This latest win further raises ISG’s profile in the city, where it is currently delivering a £6.6 million student accommodation project at Elliott House for developer, McLaren, as well as a £3.1 million contract with University of Edinburgh and a £1.4 million scheme with Edinburgh Academy.
