A new partnership initiative is being piloted in East Dunbartonshire to increase the employment opportunities of pupils interested in a career in the construction industry.
hub West Scotland, in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council Education Service, Glasgow Kelvin College, and construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall, are providing support, training and experience to 12 secondary school students embarking on their vocational SCQF Level 5 National Progression Award in Construction.
The course is part of East Dunbartonshire Council’s Senior Phase Vocational Programme, helping young people to develop knowledge and skills to prepare them for future employment or education.
