TWO Scottish firms have been recognised for their commitment to health and safety by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
Ogilvie Construction and Glasgow-based Pick Everard, an independent property, construction and infrastructure consultancy specialists, were among the winners at RoSPA’s Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said, “Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems contribute to a collective raising of the bar.”
Judges consider practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Nick Thomson, partner at Pick Everard said, “We are thrilled to have been successful at these awards.
“Pick Everard takes workplace safety very seriously and we will continue to keep improving standards.”
Donald MacDonald, Managing Director, Ogilvie Construction, said, “We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across every area of our operations. We are delighted to receive this award, which recognises that safety is at the heart of everything that we do.”
