A Renfrewshire school has been named in the top 30 “Most Amazing High School Campuses in the World”.
Park Mains has been rated 19th by American website ‘Best Education Degrees’, which provides information for educational professionals. It appears alongside schools in France, America, Austria and Portugal.
The school was built by BAM Construction and designed by Holmes Miller. Park Mains was created under the Renfrewshire Council Framework Agreement, Building Better Communities and was heralded as a blue print for the construction of future schools.
in the last 10 years BAM has been involved in the construction of 22 new schools with current projects underway including Levenmouth, East Kirkcaldy and Auchmuty High Schools and Burntisland, Oakbank and Crieff Primary Schools.
Doug Keillor, Regional Director, BAM Construction, said, “Park Mains represented a real change in the educational sector and set the benchmark of the design and delivery of new community based schools in Scotland which have been very successful. To be placed on a world scale is a great testament to everyone involved in the project and, in particular, Renfrewshire Council to have the foresight to create something that bit different.”
