OLYMPIC Gold medal rower Katherine Grainger CBE kicked off work on a new office development named after her.
The demolition of a derelict factory marked the start of plans from Robertson Group to create modern office accommodation on the banks of the River Dee.
The £5m four-storey ‘Grainger House’ will deliver 20,800 sq ft of high quality, open-plan office space in Aberdeen. The project will have the capacity to house around 200 people, with 47 car spaces available.
Katherine said, “Having trained on the Dee directly across from the site it’s fair to say I know the area very well. The idea of having a brand new office block named after you is quite overwhelming and it’s been exciting to see the plans first hand.
“I’ll be keeping a close eye on progress and look forward to visiting as Grainger House starts to take shape.”
