ADVANCE Construction Scotland has expanded its operations, opening new premises in Inverkeithing, creating 25 jobs at the new site.

The Blantyre-based firm decided to open the new premises on the back of significant growth and an increase of projects throughout the country.
Advance has taken on a number of recent commissions in the east of Scotland, involved in the construction of more than 5,000 homes for social and private housing developments in the Edinburgh area, East Calder, Dunfermline and Burntisland. The firm has also taken on commercial projects, involved in the construction of new schools and infrastructure works in the Edinburgh area.
The company has experienced major growth since 2009, increasing turnover from £23.8 million to £65 million in 2013 and projecting it to exceed £100 million over the next two to three years.
Managing director Seamus Shields said, “Through the continuous growth of the business over the last five years so much of our work was being done in and around the Edinburgh area so it made sense to open premises nearby in Fife.”
