TIMBER sash windows and doors in Lomax + Wood’s Kensington & Chelsea collection have been specified for the dramatic redesign of a private home in East Finchley, London.
The grand entrance door occupies the original position and the traditional Victorian floor tiles have been protected during the building work and retained. The impressive and bespoke design of the door incorporates a partly glazed, partly panelled entrance door with coordinating fixed side panels that allow light to enter the hall.
Kensington & Chelsea entrance doors incorporate a turn-key espagnolette which has been tested for Secured by Design standards and features the Heritage Locking system designed by Lomax + Wood. 20mm wide ovolo glazing bars lend a traditional appearance while the entrance door offers 21st Century standards of security.
