Longdens’ traditional manufacturing skills and heritage-project experience proved vital when it supplied 431 bespoke panelled solid timber doorsets to one of Scotland’s most prestigious redevelopments.
The Sheffield-based company was tasked with creating a doorset fit for the Hamilton Grand, a development of apartments in an impressive 19th century building perched on the edge of St Andrews’ golf course.
With just a photo of an old door to work from Longden constructed a doorset that features original detailing and is sympathetic to the building’s history, as well as being attractive to potential buyers and compliant with modern building regulations.
