The Emirates Arena also holds Scotland’s first indoor Velodrome.
The architecture was designed by Scottish firm, 3D Reid. Sir Robert McAlpine worked as the main contractor. Fellow Scottish construction company, Land Engineering, acted as Sub-Contractor.
Tobermore paving products were specified to provide the beautiful pristine finish around the arena. The groundworks consist of a combination of rich block paving designs including Sienna Duo in Sandstone and Graphite. The textured surface of Tobermore’s Sienna range exposes sparkling granite aggregates which provide a distinctive appearance. The paving scheme also features Tobermore’s Hydropave Sienna Duo in Silver and Graphite and Hydropave in Natural, Bracken and Charcoal. The incorporation of the Hydropave paving range ensures long term sustainability for the external landscape.
