Scottish Water’s new National Operations Centre in Stepps, North Lanarkshire, has been delivered on budget. The building, designed by Reiach & Hall with BAM as contractor, will house 600 of Scottish Water’s key staff as well as its control and data centres.
Turner & Townsend, the global programme management and construction consultancy, provided full cost management services for the project from inception to completion. It undertook a detailed evaluation of the design brief to assess Scottish Water’s operational requirements, employing cost benchmarking to align requirements with its budget.
Jane Eckersall, associate director at Turner & Townsend, says: “This has been a large-scale project for Scottish Water and it is rewarding to see it completed successfully.”
