ROBERTSON has been awarded the £8.3m design and build contract by Clackmannanshire Council for a primary school in Alloa West.
The company will build the project on behalf of Hub East Central Scotland. The facility will replace two existing primaries and will be able to accommodate more than 430 pupils with room for expansion if required. Completion is expected in August 2014.
Ian Mullen, chairman of the hub company, said: “This major investment in local primary school facilities is the latest project in a £500m programme to build sustainable community-based facilities across Forth Valley, Fife and Tayside.
“The long-term nature of the programme will help provide a range of business, employment and training opportunities for local organisations through a structured and measured approach to local community benefits planning.”
