THE bosses of 26 consultancy firms attended a recent industry day in Perth as the race intensifies to win design contracts on the A9 dualling project.
Three separate large design contracts, each with a value of between £40m-£60m, are available for contracts between Perth and Inverness. The contracts could provide steady work for the next 12 years for the successful bidders.
As part of the ongoing development of the wider A9 dualling programme, Transport Scotland is holding a series of exhibitions to give the public information on the programme and the preferred routes for the Luncarty to Pass of Birnam and Kincraig to Dalraddy sections. There will also be an update on design work being undertaken on the Birnam to Tay Crossing section.
