ABERDEEN City Council’s education, culture and sport committee has agreed to open public consultations on a preferred site for a replacement school for Kincorth and Torry Academies.
The report recommended that the committee instruct officers to carry out statutory consultation on proposals to close Kincorth Academy and Torry Academy and to amalgamate the two schools in a purpose-built secondary school. The committee agreed the recommendation by 15 votes to seven.
