Fit-out firm earns interest from bank

FIT-OUT specialist ISG has landed the contract to renovate the home of Scotland’s new private bank.

The work centres on 9 Charlotte Square in Edinburgh which will be the centre of operations for SCOBAN Plc. Work has already started on the £1m project following the signing of a 10-year lease on the property.
The 23-week programme will see ISG refurbish and reconfigure all interior elements while conserving the internal listed features of the six-floor Georgian townhouse. The former home of inventor and surgeon, James Syme, the building is one of 19 properties that make up The Charlotte Square Collection.
Andy Mallice, ISG’s managing director in Scotland, said: “This prestigious project plays to our strengths of sensitively delivering high quality commercial office accommodation within an architecturally protected context.”
The Charlotte Square Collection is managed by Corran Properties. As well as number 9, a further six townhouses and subsidiary properties on the south side of the square, are being redeveloped for office accommodation.
SCOBAN is currently occupying 22 Charlotte Square as a temporary head office during the refurbishment programme.
