Big house spend

WEST Lothian Council is to spend £54m on more than 600 council homes. And nearly half could be built in the Broxburn area to help the area recover following the closure of the Hall’s of Broxburn plant. Councillors have already identified eight locations as potential sites and further investigations will be undertaken before the final choices are made. The local authority recently announced plans to build a minimum of 1,000 homes in the next five years.
