RAYNESWAY Construction has won two contracts for sea wall repairs. One is for Scottish Power at Longannet Power Station, the other for Fife Council at Tayport. The Longannet job follows a similar contract at Valleyfield Ash Lagoons. The sea wall was built in 1959 and the work area extends over 1,400 metres within which there are approximately 200 sq. metres of repairs to be carried out. Operations at Tayport involve concrete repairs to the promenade seawall, breaking out and repairing cracks along the 300-metre structure.
