PUBLIC sector work makes up the bulk of a £7m package of new orders for Paisley firm Clark Contracts. The haul includes a brace of wins totalling £3.2m from South Lanarkshire Council for extensions and refurbishments at primary schools in East Kilbride and Biggar, both scheduled for completion by August. There is also a £1.9m job from South Ayrshire Council for a new primary school in Kirkmichael. In other wins, refurbishment, mechanical and electrical works at Ayrshire Central Hospital is worth £550,000 while the Small Works Division weighed in with £1.5m of new business.
