More than 8,000 people in the Oban area are benefiting from the completion of a major Scottish Water project.
The company has spent more than £450,000 on improvements to 1.5 miles of water mains in parts of Oban and in Connel and Benderloch.
The investment is providing greater security of supply to customers in areas which have been affected by burst pipes and disruption to supply. The improvements will reduce leakage from the network and provide fresher drinking water.
Stretches of cast iron and concrete pipes were replaced with new plastic pipe which is less susceptible to bursts. The work was carried out by contractor George Leslie.
