RESIDENTS in the West Lothian town of Linlithgow will benefit from a series of new and improved council and community services after plans were announced to redevelop its historic county buildings.
West Lothian Council is to spend more than £140,000 to create a Linlithgow Partnership Centre in the existing structure. Plans for the redevelopment were discussed and approved last month and a consultation on the plans is now under way.
Council leader John McGinty said: “The opportunity to reinvigorate the building whilst delivering a modern service in Linlithgow will enhance the town centre and act as a hub for local residents and groups.”
