MORRISONS has opened a new supermarket on Kirkintilloch Road in Bishopbriggs following the demolition of its previous store on the site.
At 6,000 sq ft larger than the previous store, the new supermarket has a large home and leisure range, 100+ seat café, and a new Market Kitchen experience where freshly made meals are created by a team on in-store chefs.
Work first got underway on the development two years ago, with the project team including Smith Design Associates, WMS, Advance Construction Scotland, ISG, Bowmer and Kirkland, and Deans Civil Engineering.
Paige O’Donnell, Morrisons Bishopbriggs store manager, said, “We know the residents of Bishopbriggs have been eagerly anticipating the reopening of this new store. This week, they get a brand new Morrisons store with skilled food making at the heart of it and plenty of useful services. We hope customers will love this new store and we look forward to welcoming them.”
